Please join us for our Brain Health Conference: Advances in Alzheimer’s disease and Related Disorders, taking place in Greenville, NC on June 28th, 2019.
This workshop will provide an update on the most recent research about dementia treatment and prevention strategies with specific presentations about current research projects. There will be opportunities to learn about research access for community members and how to join the new NC Registry for Brain Health to advance overall brain health & brain health research across the State.
The NC Statewide Registry for Brain Health is a state funded initiative aimed at bringing together academic and community partners across the State to facilitate brain health research in NC and to improve access to health information and research opportunities, particularly in under-represented communities. The registry is now launching its public facing website that provides information about research to the community and allows easy access for people to enroll in studies and to find dementia resources close to where they live.
The agenda will cover an array of topics related to brain health and dementia research, including:
- Preventing and Treating Dementia: Where Are We Now?
- Current Research Efforts: What is Being Done Where?
- Questions and Answers with the Audience and the Experts
- Why We Participate: The Need for a Diverse Research Pool
We will be offering coffee in the morning, as well as lunches in the afternoon. Registration for the event is free, as is participation in the NC Registry for Brain Health!
